I can’t recall an Artist/Songwriter who has been making regular appearances from past three/five years on the annual Grammy awards rosters. From his 2oo8 hit “Umbrella” by Rihanna to Best R&B Song “Single Ladies” by Beyonce. And in 2011, “All of The Lights” by Kanye West to the “No Church In The Wild” in 2013. I mean, dude has won three grammy awards just in the songwriting arena, would you believe? In the past four years. No wonder, Nash aka “The-Dream” is one of the most sought after songwriter in the industry right about now.
Well, it’s about time Nash do something for his own self. The latest, long awaited studio album titled “IV Play” is in the final works and ready for a May 28 release through Def Jam. We got the title track, dropped via Def Jam’s official soundcloud, which reminds you of the good old, typical “The Dream” and “Tricky Stewart” collaboration. A subtle work on the boards. Which kinda reminds you of how similar, a lot of R&B artists can sound, one of these days. And, it’s a no brainer to draw comparison between the “artist of the moment” The Weeknd and The Dream (which is outrageous, considering The-Dream has been active in the Industry for almost a decade now!)
Over all, I think the track has all the ingredients to top the charts. We got the official stream via Def Jam, down below. Don’t forget to cop the album via iTunes, once it’s out to show your support to the artist.
