The more i hear this dude spitting fire on, no matter how hot/cold a beat is. I just can’t get enough of the shit.
I mean, the dude’s one of the most outrageous and talented rapper to have emerged in the recent years. With his debut studio album “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” already certified gold by RIAA, and still raking in the numbers. He just came through with a remix of “Bitch, don’t kill my vibe” off his debut album. And, K-Dot brought in the king of the rap game “HOV” to make a guest appearance on the remix.
Now, what makes this remix different from almost a millions of remixes that gets released, every other day? Well, at first .. it’s just not about the production/lyrical quality. The dudes, Kendrick and Jay .. are like two ends of a rope. Hov – a legacy, king of Hip hop. Whereas, K-Dot – having made a strong statement and a case for himself with a solid debut album, is already touted as the next big thing to happen in the Hip Hop Industry. Secondly, this remix is not your usual remix, where you bring in a new layer or a guest artist to throw in a couple of bars, while the main verses remains untouched? Contrary, K-Dot was respectful enough to drop a couple of new bars on this one, showing his admiration towards the legendary Hov!
Top Dawg Ent. were kind enough to drop an official stream of the joint. Check it out, below :
